Mary W. Lyons

Mary is excited about the mission of Conflict to Peace, resolving conflicts and reconciling relationships in accordance with biblical principles, and the services it provides. She is thrilled about the opportunity to join the team, and build the business side of the ministry by working to make it a more well-known resource to the pastors and staff of local churches, other ministries, local courts, and others who are involved in a dispute and are seeking a resolution process that is based on biblical principles, and reconciliation of the broken relationship, wherever possible, through repentance, confession and forgiveness.

In her legal career, she worked as an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service, as well as a Fortune 500 company. While she found the role of advocate challenging and rewarding, resolving disputes has become her true passion and calling. She now works with private clients in her own mediation business, Just Resolutions, LLC, as well as being a roster mediator with the Northern Virginia Mediation Service for civil and family cases.

Mary received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, her law degree from George Washington University School of Law, and a Masters of Law degree in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Mary has over 200 hours of mediation and negotiation training from numerous institutions.

Mary lives in Sterling with her husband, Gary, and they are active in the marriage ministry in their church, where they work with couples to seek a closer relationship with the Lord, and thereby improve their marriage relationships.
